Biodegradable Polyester Fiber : ECO-AN®ES Fiber

(1) The polyolefin and polyester raw materials are modified and spun into fibers, which have the ability to biodegrade under aerobic and anaerobic conditions.
(2) In addition to the degradability of ECO-AN ®, the subsequent processability is not affected by it, which is consistent with the general fiber use method. There is no need to change the process at all, and it can be used with confidence.
(3) The degradability of ECO-AN ® will not affect other fibers shared with it.

Polyolefin fiber materials mainly include PE (Polyethene) and PP (Polypropylene). As shown in the figure, the free radicals in the degradable additives will cause the polyolefin macromolecular chain to break or undergo a redox reaction. At this time, the PE main chain segment will oxidize, and the PP chain will produce hydroxyl (-OH), which will then continue to degrade to produce small molecules suitable for microbial decomposition.
As shown in the figure, the degradability of Ikean ® ES fiber has been tested for composting degradability for 45 consecutive days in GB/T 33797-2017, and the degradation rate can reach 1.9%, indicating that it has degradability, and the degradation performance does not affect the physical properties of the fiber at all., appearance and use.
